Rio Chama Wild and Scenic River

The Rio Chama, a tributary of the Rio Grande, runs through the Chama River Canyon Wilderness. Along the Rio Chama, you can enjoy a variety of watersports, as well as hiking and backpacking.

Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad

Cumbres & Toltec  Scenic Railroad is considered one of the best train rides in North America. It's one of the top attractions in New Mexico and Colorado. The route covers 64 miles, from Chama, New Mexico to Antonito, Colorado.
Cumbres Pass

If you're looking for a scenic route with some risk to it, try Cumbres Pass. This high mountain pass has an elevation of over 10,000 feet. Cumbres Pass, also known as State Highway 17, is open year round, although conditions may force closures in the winter.
